This is the iconic sneaker made popular in the 90s that just might help a kid run faster and jump higher. A tonal black canvas upper, ribbed toe bumper, and screen-printed ankle patch bring that ‘90s movie nostalgia into everyday life.

The 1993 High-Top was built for legends and inspired a generation. Reissued in its original all-black form, this sneaker brings back the fearless energy of a generation that believed anything was possible. Lace up and get out there. Heroes get remembered, but this legend never dies.

  • Posture Foundation insole: Adds stability and support with legacy-inspired comfort
  • 100% cotton canvas upper: Lightweight, breathable, and made to play
  • Signature ankle patch: Screen printed just like the original pairs worn in the 90s
  • Flat cotton laces: A classic finish for a timeless sneaker
  • Ribbed toe bumper & rubber toe cap: For protection, structure, and standout style
  • Unisex sizes listed: +1.5 for women's sizing
  • Available in wide/E width

About P.F. Flyers

To the benefit of Celtic's legend Bob Cousy in the 1950s, cartoon adventurer Jonny Quest in the 60s, one Benny "The Jet" Rodriguez in the 1990s and countless others, P.F. Flyers has been slinging classic canvas Americana footwear designed to help you run faster and jump higher for nearly a century.

P.F. Flyers launched in the 1930s under the B.F. Goodrich Company when inventor Hyman L. Witman patented the "Posture Foundation" arch support insole, putting the P.F. in P.F. Flyers. Saved from acquisition by their competitors at Converse by an anti-trust lawsuit in the 1970s (interestingly, this is how Converse acquired the Jack Purcell brand from P.F. Flyers, where it was born), the brand floated around the portfolios of names you'd recognize before being relaunched by New Balance in the early aughts, and then discontinued once more. It was sometime between 2016 and 2020 that shop owner Ethan acquired his two pair - a classic white-black-and-red low top and the 1993 "Sandlot edition" all-black high-tops.

Heroes get remembered, but this legend never dies. Kassia Davis of New Balance lineage took up the line and spun it back off into an independent brand in 2021. They returned to the wholesale retail circuit in 2025, and Ethan and Omar quickly snapped up a business card to ensure this piece of American heritage found a spot here at Porterhouse.
