Crafted as references, not exact replicas, Gitman's SS26 awning stripe fabrics nod to these scenes while maintaining wearability for the everyday. This tan colorway embraces that perspective with a quintessentially Japanese twist: nuanced color tonality and variable yarn tension.

While Gitman Bros. wasn't on the books until 1978, the Gitmans had been sewing shirts and PJs on contract since 1932.
Gitman Vintage spun off in 2008, revisiting old Gitman linebooks and archives to make old new again. The results are inherently classic in style.
