The Leather

Rambler leather is from Charles F. Stead tannery in Leeds, UK. It features natural textures of the flesh side of the hide. Finished with a wax blend for a unique natural aesthetic featuring a depth of color and rugged texture.

The Tannery

Charles F. Stead - Leeds, United Kingdom. Established in the 1890's, Charles F. Stead is renowned as one of the best tanneries in the world, specifically specializing in suede. By embracing the natural "imperfections" in hides ranging from African Antelope to Moose and Cowhide, Stead has transformed the leather industry by providing some of the most unique leathers to the fashion industry.

Great product, excellent service

Called to enquire on Truman Coach Rambler. Excellent recommendation on proper sizing and complete flexibility to pick up at anytime. Arrived store with staff that provided the best attention, product knowledge and amazingly friendly attitude. The boot was everything I had hoped for and more. Depth of color with fit that will require little break in.
Highly recommend both the Truman boot and the store. Looking forward to shopping often.

Great boots, great place to get them

I ordered the Coach Ramblers from Porterhouse because they were sold out in my size (12) on the Truman website. The boots arrived quickly, great service from Porterhouse and great QC from both Porterhouse and Truman. They run true to size or about a half size large, depending on your feet. Virtually no break in period whatsoever. If you're looking for an everyday boot that can take a serious beating and that will continue to look better as it does, look no further than this boot.
