Designed based on tube socks made in the U.S. in the late 1970s, these ribbed socks are knitted with a special knitting machine that is hard to find today, using low-count supple cotton yarn. The liner of the sole is brushed for a unique bouncy feel that only ROTOTO can create. The simple design fits any types of outfits from skater-like sporty styles to traditional ones.

Specs:

  • Avoid using a tumble dryer, as it may cause shrinkage
  • The surface of the sock is quite sensitive to abrasion and can be worn out easily if you wear it with leather shoes
  • 73% cotton, 12% acrylic 12% polyester, 3% polyurethane
  • Made in Japan
  • R1255

About Rototo

Rototo places value on manufacturing that requires a lot of discussion with factory craftsmen who preserve the tradition and history of Japanese "sock weaving". Rototo start their sock making with selecting the right yarns for a design from a huge number of options, and then develop a new material that is made of a blend of selected yarns with help of the craftsmen. After that, they choose a knitting machine to use according to the type of material and the usage of the product. Their options include rare machines for specialty use, old-style non-computerized knitters and latest hi-tech machines. To make an ideal pair of socks, exchanging opinions with skilled craftsmen is as important as using the right machine depending on a product.
