Ginew

Heritage Coat

Heritage Coat

Description

This coat celebrates hard-working garments. Denim coats have served blue-collar workers in machine shops, forests and fields for as long as they've been around.

The lining is from the "We Walk Together" wool blanket fabric sewn by Pendelton Woolen Mills (Portland, OR) exclusively for Ginew. From the Ginew website:

The "We Walk Together" blanket colors represent the sacred day (sunrise to sunset) and wampum belt (purples), teachings that impart values to guide us in our life together. The lodges are in the shape of traditional Ojibwe and Oneida dwellings. The crest fuses timeless symbols from each of our tribes, the dwelling (Ojibwe) and Skydome (Oneida). Together, the colors and symbols represent how we value our traditional beliefs in our home as we walk this journey of life together.
  • 32-oz wool blanket fabric lining (82% wool, 18% cotton)
  • 14 oz Nihon Menpu selvedge denim
  • Silk-quilted lining in sleeves
  • Barn coat design with modern fit, split back
  • Manufactured in Los Angeles
