I was visiting with the fine folks at Porterhouse Clothing in early July and spotted this short sleeve shirt. Admittedly, I'm not usually looking for a quality short sleeve shirt. However, I'm a sucker for green and just loved the look and feel of this shirt. The rayon fabric is silkly smooth, lightweight without being flimsy and holds its shape well. Just ideal for higher temps when I want more than a t-shirt. I can wear this out to dinner or to play golf. It is that flexible and looks the stuff. Launders easily in cold machine wash and hang dry. The buttons complement the contrast pattern and the buttons extend to the top of the collar (but I can't fathom using the top button. The yoke at the back shoulders is doubly layered with the outside fabric also lining the upper back. Sleeve length is generous to about 1.5" above the elbow. Fit is casually loose. The collar and placket are decidedly casual and soft, but hold their shape. One patch pocket on the left. While big enough to hold your phone, the fabric is light and won't support much weight. The stitching and fabric matching of the pocket is perfect. There is no exterio placket on the front with buttons and button holes, however like the rear yoke, the fabric is doubled over to lend strength to this higher stress area. I generally wear a medium size shirt at 5'9", 140 lbs and 37" chest. I chose a small tag size and it is ideal for me.
Lastly, the fine folks at Porterhouse Clothing are really fine people and I am proud to honor them with my business. Thanks Omar!
