Chambray has long been workwear’s favorite fabric for lightweight breathability alongside sturdiness and reliability. Gitman's chambray was developed just for them by their Japanese partner mill in 2008, and it’s been unchanged ever since.
In-line with our commitment to versatility in our closets, the Gitman chambray is a piece you can reach for year-round and layer in many different ways. A staple in the truest sense of the word.
While Gitman Bros. wasn't on the books until 1978, the Gitmans had been sewing shirts and PJs on contract since 1932.
Gitman Vintage spun off in 2008, revisiting old Gitman linebooks and archives to make old new again. The results are inherently classic in style.
