Water-resistant and virtually windproof, the Ranger Lightweight Anorak is an ideal packable layer for when the weather turns foul. With roots tracing back to ancient Greenland, it’s modeled after smocks worn by vintage mountaineers and military troops. The innovative 4-oz waxed cotton from England’s historic British Millerain is non-oily and washable. A one-piece caped shoulder design minimizes seams for improved water resistance. The hood is generously sized to fit over caps, and the front zipper extends half-length for ventilation and easy on/off. The divided kangaroo pocket and front storm flap secure with snaps that are enamel-finished to match those used in the original 1950s jackets.
