Gitman Vintage's classic oxfords are made from 100% cotton Cambridge Oxford, a durable cloth that softens when washed but remains virtually indestructible. The same fabric they used for their first stock shirt made in 1978, still used today. Still made in the USA.
In response to customer feedback, Gitman have updated their classic GV fit by taking in the bottom opening to reduce the sweep, creating more of a straight tailored cut.
While Gitman Bros. wasn't on the books until 1978, the Gitmans had been sewing shirts and PJs on contract since 1932.
Gitman Vintage spun off in 2008, revisiting old Gitman linebooks and archives to make old new again. The results are inherently classic in style.
