Porterhouse 2025 Men's Gift Guide

Porterhouse 2025 Men's Gift Guide

This holiday, find the perfect gift for the guys on your list at Porterhouse Clothing & Supply. From stocking stuffers to gifts that may last a lifetime, we've got you covered.

Start at the top, or if you have a budget in mind, you can explore a few different price brackets we've broken out.

Book a Personal Styling Appointment

If you have absolutely no idea where to start, or the idea of buying something as personal as clothing for the special someone on your list is just too daunting, start here. Book a personal styling appointment with a Porterhouse associate. A $50 deposit reserves the store for an hour or so before- or after-hours. Whoever you're buying for will have the 1-on-1 attention of our expert team to build or expand their wardrobe, working through anything and everything we've got on the shelves, no hurry.

Contact us to set this up or pick up a $50 gift card and send it with instructions!

$25 and Under

Stocking stuffers, white elephant gifts, and presents for people you feel obligated to buy for. These gifts punch above their weight.

Daneson Flavored Toothpicks

Daneson’s flavored toothpicks are an excellent stocking stuffer. 12 toothpicks come in a vial with a cork topper. Premium packaging and a premium product ensure whoever you're buying for will feel like a million bucks after every meal. Flavors include single-malt scotch, bourbon, mint, and cinnamint.

Field Notes

For the old-fashioned note-taker or budding designer in your life. Field Notes are inspired by the promotional memo books distributed to American farmers over the last hundred years by seed, tractor, and other agricultural companies. Today, Field Notes are both functional and, for the design-conscious, collectible. In addition to their classic memo books, you can find day planners, steno pads, and large-format notebooks in our shop. There’s even a waterproof edition.

Opinel Pocket Knife

Since 1890, Opinel knives have been just about everywhere—the kitchen, the field, and next, some lucky guy's pocket. Our collection includes pocket knives at a few different sizes. The keychain-sized Opinel is hard to forget, being on your keys and all, while the No.08 is iconically utilitarian, landing it in the MoMA. Sharp blade, locking safety ring. Any Opinel will make a great daily driver at a great price.

Plus...

  • Fragrance Cards: For home or the car, these little cards are a huge improvement over generic car scents.
  • Tailored Coffee: One of our favorite roasters in Eugene, brewed in the comfort of your giftee's home.
  • Palo Santo Smudge Sticks: For "cleansing" the home or just making it smell better, these sticks are steeped in tradition. They were added to the shop after we encountered them burning in a little cocktail bar in NYC.

$25 - $65

Dehen Watch Caps

Perhaps the most iconic garment in a long line of civilian-wear inspired by the armed forces. Watch caps will probably always be in style here in the northwest.

Our favorite iteration here is a 100% wool cap from Dehen 1920 up in Portland. We also carry a 100% wool option from Seattle-based Filson. All of them are certifiably cozy.

Safety Razor

For the clean-cut guy in your life. Safety razors are an eco-friendly and, over the long term, more affordable alternative to disposable razors, so upgrade your man to a Rockwell safety razor. We’re happy to educate you on the various options available. Pairs well with shaving cream and aftershave for the full experience.

Fulton & Roark Fragrances

Fulton & Roark, out of North Carolina, is pumping out absolute knock-out scents. More expensive than bargain-bin, locker-room scents, but way more affordable than designer fragrances. Story time from Porterhouse owner, Ethan:

This summer I was at a wedding wearing a little Fulton & Roark cologne. One of the groomsmen, a couple drinks in, came up to me in the bar line, threw an arm around my shoulder, and stuck his face in my neck before shouting "BRO WHY DO YOU SMELL SO GOOD!?". The audience wasn't the intended one, but it definitely made an impact.

Solid colognes are a huge improvement over spray colognes because you can apply it exactly where you want it and just as much as you want. Shop the full collection of scents here.

Plus...

  • Caps: Whether it's a waxed cap from Dehen or an outdoorsman look from Filson, a cap ready to break in makes a great gift in this price point.

$65 - $150

100% Merino Wool Scarf

Taylor Stitch partnered with storied woolen mill Abraham Moon & Sons for these stunning merino wool scarves. Lightweight, warm, and stylish. The pattern will work with most outfits. Gift this versatile piece they'll reach for time and again.

Leather Wallets

If you happen to know a gentleman with a tri-fold velcro wallet, it is, in fact, your duty to gift them something to replace it this year. No need to announce themselves every time they open their wallet.

Gift them an upgrade from our selection of leather wallets from Fontenelle Supply Company. Based in Des Moines, Iowa, Fontenelle crafts their wallets from Hermann Oak leather, a tannery in St. Louis, Missouri. We carry their card, bifold, money clip, passport, and notebook wallets, the last of which pairs perfectly with a pack of Field Notes (see above).

Workshop Cuffs

Studebaker Metals, out of Pittsburgh, PA, is a new addition to the shop for the 2025 holiday season. We love their cuffs, and your partner will too. Their brass and copper options will make for an understated first foray into jewelry for the man in your life. Or opt for their sterling silver option for a bigger statement, albeit not in this price bracket.

Plus...

  • Knit gloves from Howlin': Knit lovingly in Scotland, these woolen gloves are functional and subtly whimisical.
  • Button-down stalwarts: Portuguese Flannel's Teca and Taylor Stitch's Yosemite shirts will become staples in any wardrobe. Some shirts aren't for everyone, but these options are for anyone. Both are warm and cozy for the winter season.

$150 - $300

100% Wool Sweaters

Howlin's wool Birth of the Cool sweaters can be found in three colorways here in the shop. These wonderful sweaters can by styled in a sort of rainy, UK, on-the-shores-of-the-loch way, or throw a collared shirt underneath for a more Ivy interpretation. Perfect for any guy.

Freenote's Utility Shirt

For something a little more rugged, Freenote's utility shirts pack a heck of a punch. Done up with an unflinchingly durable twill fabric in three neutral colors. This shirt will survive many rounds in the workshop and will look all the better for it. A true "wear in, not out" piece.

Quarter-Zip Stadium Loft

Knickerbocker's sportswear offering is a notable cut above others in the space. These come in a comfortable yet hard-wearing 100% cotton. Your partner will never be able to go back to poly-blend sportswear after getting their hands on one of these.

Plus...

  • The Alamo: Indigofera's Alamo shirt comes back each season in wonderful colorways. It's durable, comes in easy-to-gift colors, and hits an excellent price point.
  • The Ryder: An elevated Carhartt from Taylor Stitch, perfect for rugged outdoor wear.

$300+

At the $300 and up price point, these gifts might actually outlast the person you’re buying for.

Waxed Canvas Outerwear

Did you know that Eugene actually gets more rain each year than Seattle? They just get the reputation because they’re bigger. That weather makes waxed canvas an excellent choice for outerwear. Thick, canvas cotton with a thin layer of wax so the elements roll right off.

We’ve got a couple waxed canvas options for the outdoorsman on your list. Above you'll see sevearl colors of a lined option from Freenote Cloth. For something a bit lighter, Rogue Territory's signature Ridgeline Supply Jacket is just the ticket.

Schott Leather Jackets

Schott has been making excellent leather jackets here in the US for decades, and we were thrilled to welcome them to the shop this year. A good leather jacket never goes out of style, and with care, will last a good long time.

Plus...

  • Canyon Plaid: Dehen's collection for 2025 includes this handsome canyon plaid wool. They're offering it in both their Skyline overshirt—a more cropped version of their Crissman to reflect current trends—and in their Flyer's Club Jacket for a warmer option.
  • Blankets: For a guy who loves loud and artistic, pick up any Indigofera blanket, typically designed in collaboration with Scandinavian artists. And for a more traditional rustic cabin experience, Filson delivers their Mackinaw wool in blanket form.

Gift Cards!

And of course, we've got gift cards available here at Porterhouse, good both in store and online, and available at any price point.
