Popover Shirt in Tan Cotton/Ramie Cabana Stripe
Popover Shirt in Tan Cotton/Ramie Cabana Stripe
Description
Description
Gitman often reach for tried and true cotton/linen blends for their summer shirting, but this is the first time they ever incorporated ramie fibers into one of their fabrics. Like linen, ramie is a fiber derived from the stalks of plants. Each fiber is around 5-6 inches long, more than twice as long as the longest cotton fiber available, but on par with the longest linen fibers. Ultimately, this means ramie is both incredibly soft and durable.
For this special fabric, we've opted for a special silhouette in the way of a popover option. With this fabric and the easy going banded collar/four-button placket, this shirt is ready for your next lawn party or beach excursion.
About Gitman Vintage
About Gitman Vintage
While Gitman Bros. wasn't on the books until 1978, the Gitmans had been sewing shirts and PJs on contract since 1932.
Gitman Vintage spun off in 2008, revisiting old Gitman linebooks and archives to make old new again. The results are inherently classic in style.
