The Printed Autumn Corduroy Seersucker is a 5oz Japanese fabric that blends two classic textile textures into one distinctive cloth. The corduroy element is created with fine vertical ridges, while the seersucker effect comes from weaving some yarns at a looser tension, causing the fabric to naturally pucker. Fun fact : seersucker dates back to colonial India, its name rooted in the Persian words for “milk and sugar,” referencing its smooth-and-rough contrast. This dual construction produces a highly textured surface that feels dimensional to the touch.
The lightweight 5oz weight makes it comfortable for year-round wear, while the printed autumn pattern adds seasonal character. The raised and recessed areas of the fabric interact with the print, giving it subtle depth and variation. Despite its visual complexity, the fabric is made from 100% cotton, offering breathability and softness.
